Some Noticeable Achievements - In the sand of time
  • Attempts were taken to educate 999 dropout and non-schooling children within age group of 6 - 14 years in 28 EGS centres in Rayagada and Nuagada block of Gajapati. . 

  • CEF - Action Aid intervention was made to create general awareness and sensitize the community in streamlining the education system and enroll the dropout and non-schooling children within agegroup of 6-14 years into the schools providing regular education in Partada GP of Kasinagar Block and Tarangada GP of Gumma block emphasizing on girl child education.

  • INHP-II intervention packages were launched in 351 Anganwadi Centres in 20 sectors of Rayagada, Gumma, Kasinagar and Paralakhemundi Blocks as demonstration & model centres for the effective implementation of the Integrated Health and Nutrition program, creating massive public awareness under the aegis of CARE- ORISSA and attempts were also being taken to create public awareness conducting cultural shows in 39 targeted villages on the prevention and control of Malaria and Drug Prohibition.

  • An outlay of Rs.3 Lakhs was mobilized simultaneously in Barba, Tohojung tribal villages to access safe drinking water through gravitational flow pipe and Irrigation canal was constructed in Kumbrising village to improve the agriculture.

  • Promoted 465 SHGs in its operational areas providing socio-economic support encouraging their participation in every developmental sectors. In this regard, CCD was awareded with Best SHPI in Gajapati by Ministry of Women and Child development, Orissa.  

  • A financial support of Rs. 34,52,000/- was provided to 84 women SHGs of Gosani, Kasinagar, Gumma, Rayagada Block and in Paralakhemundi municipality from RGB and SBI, Paralakhemundi to enhance the economic potential of women members.

  • Active participation of women in Gram Sabha and Palli Sabha with active participation in decision making process placing demands of their problems and issues in concern with their villgae ensuring equal wages.

  • Gender Analysis is found to be an effective methodology to sensitize the community on Gender issues. Adult male, Adult females, girls, boys, old men and old women actively participated in the Analysis process.

  • Emphasis was put to link the partner community with the state and national level struggle for pressurizing the Govt. to make favourable policy for Right to Dignity.

  • Opening of 2 Branch Offices of Gajapati Women Self Help Cooperative Ltd at Mandalasahi of Raygada Block and Gumma of Gumma Block providing smooth accessibility of financial trasactions.

  • Tribal women were encouraged to represent at the Three-tier- PRI System at the grass-root level to activate their role.

  • 61 SHGs of PWDs (Person’s with Disability) confederating it into a District level Network as a pressure group to work for the sustainable community based rehabilitation, mobilizing the resources from social development sector.

  • An amount of Rs. 2,63,000/- provided to 49 PWDs from respected SHGs under REHASWISS project (an amount of Rs.5,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- to each member) to invest in different trades according to the feasibility for their socio-economic rehabilitation.

  • The network of the tribes under the name of Gajapati Network was promoted for the settlement of the land and forest cases.

  • Celebration of International Disable Day involving 354 members marched in Paralakhemundi Town with banners and leaflets shoughting equal opportunities and Rights.

  • Initiation of Hat Counter in Mandalasahi Hat of Rayagada Block with a view to create opportunities to the SHG members to sale their products in actual price, increase their savings and avail loan to the needy SHG members to encouraging their economic viability.

  • Celebration of International Disable Day involving 354 members marched in Paralakhemundi Town with banners and leaflets shoughting equal opportunities and Rights.

  • Orientation to women PRI members was conducted on the eve of International Women’s Day involving SHG members, PRI members, ICDS personnel and Govt. servents with a veiw to create sensitization on the role of women in Panchayat Raj.

  • Partner’s meet was organized by CCD involving the network memebrs of White Ribbon Alliance Orissa, District Chapter - Gajapati, to create mass awareness campaign on ideal health practices ensuring Safe Motherhood in Gajapati.

  • Inaguration of Food Processing Unit at Mandalasahi of Rayagada Block by District Collector to encourage the value addition trials taken by women SHG members to generate employment opportunity as well as income generation activities creating better market linkages.

  • A workshop on Right to Information organized involving 104 members from SHGs, PRI members, NGO personnel and lawers with a veiw to sensitize the general public on the new Act.

  • A workshop on Investment Education was organized to create a common platform to invest the money in a justifiable manner to get better output with credibility.
